Accomplishments

DOUGLAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Participation with Douglas Elementary School began with a pilot program of thirty students. With support of the Community Church of Douglas (CCD), approximately 40 students are currently enrolled, and being fed through the weekend backpack program for the 2018-2019 school year. The CCD is responsible for food acquisition, storage, preparation and delivery of weekend backpacks that are sent home each week with qualified students.

FENNVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The backpack program for the 2018-2019 school year Fennville Elementary School officially launched on September 4th. Over 100 students are currently participating in this program with the Community Church of Douglas and Pearl United Methodist Church in Fennville working together to procure food reserves, store food, pack and deliver.
